Wood Floor Staining

For staining wooden flooring we always recommend … Morrells Stains.

Each wooden floor is different which means each stain we use will have a slightly different colour than the samples shown below.

We suggest testing your chosen stain on a small area first before applying, to do this strip the wood down (removing all old stains and varnishes) and apply a small sample to the wood.

After leaving this to dry for several hours you will see how your chosen stain will look on your wooden floor.

Morrells Light Fast Stains

A range of fast drying alcohol-based stains suitable for hand, spray or dip application.

The standard range consists of popular primary colours and a selection of the most widely used wood colours. Formulated to provide an excellent definition and depth of colour.

This range is also suitable for tinting Morrells Precatalyst and Acid Catalyst lacquers up to a maximum of 5% by volume (AC’s should be catalysed prior to tinting). Morrells provides a bespoke colour matching service.

Morrells Compliant Water Stains

A range of water-based stains suitable for hand, spray or dip application.

The standard range consists of popular primary colours and a selection of the most widely used wood colours.

A range formulated on organic metal-complex dye stuffs dissolved in water, which comply with the VOC requirements of Clause 19 of the Secretary of States Guidance Note for Wood Coating Processes PG6/33. Morrells provides a bespoke colour matching service.

Morrells Classique Stains

A range of fast drying solvent-based stains suitable for hand, spray or dip application.

The standard range consists of a selection of the most widely used wood colours. Formulated to provide excellent definition and depth of colour.

This range is also suitable for tinting Morrells Precatalyst lacquers up to a maximum of 5% by volume. 134/Stains are designed for spray and wipe applications and 135/Stains are designed for spray and leave applications. Morrells provides a bespoke colour matching service.
